Homemade Tortilla Chips

Hi Everyone, happy Tuesday hope your week is going well so far. Do any of you ever want a quick easy snack? Well here’s one of the best snacks in the history of snacks! So give it up for homemade tortilla chips! You may be thinking what's so special about tortilla chips? Well these chips are homemade, crispy, salty, and basically the definition of delicious! So put on your apron, and get ready! 

What You Need:

  • Corn tortillas 

  • Canola oil 

  • Kosher salt 

Steps:

  1. Use a pizza cutter and cut tortillas into fourths (can do any amount you want)

  2. Put about an inch deep of canola oil in the pan

  3. Put the heat on medium low 

  4. Flick some water in the pan and if it sparks up that means the oil is hot enough (BE CAREFUL)

  5. Put about 3-6 chips in the pan at a time 

  6. Flip using tongs  when the the bottom sides edges are a light brown

  7. Take out when other side is cooked how desired

Enjoy with your favorite guacamole and/or salsa!


SUGGESTION: Get some nacho cheese and have a nacho Tuesday with your family
